Kathy Lynn And The Playboys

Kathy Lynn And The Playboys

BMHOF Class of 2010

Originated in WNY in 1963. Their break came when they were asked to play at the local teen club, “The Peppermint Stick”, where they served as the house band playing with notable artists such as Freddie Cannon, Santo and Johnny, The Four Seasons, Tony Orlando and others which culminated in an opening slot at Memorial Auditorium for The Ronettes and The Dave Clark Five. Their recordings from '64 through '66 were local and regional hits and received national airplay. Their recording deals included Motown Records where they were known as The LaSalles and as the first non-black artist released on that label.
