On behalf of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, welcome to our website!

2016 has been an exciting year. Our mission continues to grow and mature through the efforts of a dedicated board and volunteer base. I would like to thank all of them for continuing to expand our programs and making an impact in the Western New York community.

On October 6, we welcomed 12 new inductees into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. As well as honoring our current and new inductees, we also honored two outstanding students, Jarod Yap and Nate Kalnitz, with the Denton, Cottier and Daniels scholarship. Earlier this year, we held the third Lucille and Jack Yellen songwriter’s scholarship competition. It was a very hard decision as we had a large pool of young talent in our community, but Lynz Munich ended up winning a recording session at GCR Studios, backed up and mentored by current inductees. Jessica Chizuk, our second Yellen Scholarship recipient in 2014, performed before the Gala festivities.

If you have not done so, check out our archival project, WNY.FM: a website that is dedicated to documenting the music culture of Western New York. It is also intended as a learning lab for interns where they can polish their journalism, audio and video production skills.

Our Musicians Medics program continues to touch the community and make a difference by providing musical relief to patients and families during times of need. The healing power of music is ever-present where our musicians are performing.

Our dream of a museum is one step closer to becoming a reality. The Buffalo Niagara Hall of Fame, a partnership between the Buffalo Music HOF, the Greater Buffalo Sports HOF and the Buffalo Broadcasters Association, continues to work on plans for an exciting space to educate and entertain the public.

You can learn about all of these programs on this website. I invite you to view the wesbite and learn how we are fulfilling our mission.

Thank you for coming to our website. Enjoy!
